📦 Parcel Pirates Alert, Eastcote! 🏴‍☠️

I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Hi neighbours! Just a quick heads‑up that there’s been a recent parcel theft on Sutton Close. Sadly, it seems someone fancied a bit of uninvited online shopping courtesy of our doorsteps. 🙄

To help keep deliveries where they belong (with you, not wandering off), here are a few simple precautions that can make a big difference:

✅ Use local collection points or shops – many retailers offer delivery to nearby convenience stores or lockers
✅ Nominate a trusted neighbour to accept parcels if you’re out
✅ Choose specific delivery instructions (e.g. “leave with neighbour” rather than “leave on doorstep”)
✅ Opt for delivery times when you know you’ll be home, if possible
✅ Consider a doorbell camera or safe parcel box if you receive lots of deliveries

Let’s look out for one another and keep Eastcote a friendly place for residents… and a very unwelcoming one for parcel thieves. 👀
